PvP Training with Childe

⚔️Combat training with friends ^^⚔️
━━━ EARLIER ━━━
I was at the Gold Saucer, Childe sought me out to hangout and chill together. Initially, I was just AFK and preparing my blogs, but then we began chatting more.

He was once a Lalafell, but now he's a Hrothgar (I didn't read much into it, since that race came with the SHB expansions; I'm a ways away from there).
As he described, due to the bulky build of the character, it made it harder to gauge for jumps. Hence why he doesn't enjoy them.

The Air-Force-One GATES was announced, and we had Perfect scores for it. I shared my experience with trying out RDM for yesterday's PvP, and how I lost to Arlen when sparring.

━━━ TRAINING ━━━
He invited me to join him in the Wolves' Den Pier, to train me; and exposed me to the PvP metas (DRG, MCH, BRD, SMN). He mentioned that he didn't like the new combo actions, as he preferred the past combat system. He showed me how he chain Debuffs & skills together on the dummy, and I kinda get the theory / what to do or look out for. Start with Heavy or Stuns, into a barrage of attacks. The action I tend to not notice, and lose to is Silence. The strategy: to disable the enemy after dealing a huge burst of damage, and then quickly finishing them off. I was pouring all my focus into spamming heals, AoEs, straights & any remaining Debuffs to flee. But in the midst of panic, I didn't even noticed being output-locked by Silence. After sparring for a couple of rounds, I managed to win at least 1 of each of the classes he presented, using my MCH... with the exception of his DRG. Even with the knowledge of DRG's weakness against covers, I was still no match for that. In my mind, DRG's range is really just that superior in 1 on 1s... Even with his prowess, he wouldn't go up against another DRG. He recommends casting a Debuff and making a run for it back into his own group. I didn't really get why BRD and SMN are metas. Probably haven't played them for long enough. (While writing this, I realized that I haven't tried LNC too. I'm assuming it'll sync upwards into using DRG's skills instead) There're a bunch of classes I still haven't got accustomed to. I'm so not using BLM in PvP again. Too stationary and vulnerable for me.
━━━ FRIENDS ━━━
Soon after, Lilina walked up to us and they begun to spar as I watched. Childe wasted no time demostrating the meta classes, overpowering Lilina's BLM... I received a Tell from Gracia, and told them what we were up to. Soon enough, we were joined by Gracia and Vale and they started sparring with each other. I could see that they already had some level of experience, unlike how I just started out 1v1-ing just yesterday. But if I recall right, Childe stood victorious throughout his fights with Gracia and Lilina... I'd think he has a more solid grasp of PvP than any of us. Midway through, Lilina left us to cook something up.
━━━ ENDING ━━━
When the time to leave came, Childe had to go first.

Just as we were about to leave, Ceball and his friend entered the scene and we ended up staying for longer than expected; watching them face off with a variety of different, non-meta classes.
Their expertise showed me that I shouldn't discount the non-meta classes, because they still fare well enough with the right know-hows.

Lilina rejoined us again to deliver us some gifts, and began giving rewards to the winner of each fight. Lili delivered to us the news that Lili's sub would soon expire. Before returning, Lili intends to search for and secure a job irl.

This is a soon-to-be farewell to Lilina, for an untold duration of time... So we wished each other all the best and exchanged contacts.
━━━ THE NEXT NIGHT ━━━
This 1's unrelated to PvP.
Da Souls invited me to DR Leveling and Trials. However, I had to leave for Minecraft soon, so I requested to just do Trial.

We got Shiva and nearly got wiped... technically we.. did but we still did it in 1 run.
I've forgotten the mechanics and was trying out Samurai... so I kept getting up close and dying x,x

Maybe I should read up on previously forgotten mechanics before heading for those..
then again, Trial was chosen at random..

Probably happened to pick that because we were all level 50 and above.
